| Project Update - Tuesday, May 13, 2008The Phase I Existing Conditions Report and Market Study will be available shortly. The document was reviewed with the Project Steering Committee on May 6th. The document is being revised based on feedback received from the Committee. Once the revisions are completed the document will be posted on this site for public review. The next step of the project will generate alternative concepts for the Town Center. This step is expected to be completed in about a month.

| Downtown Business Workshop - Thursday, March 13, 2008Downtown businesses are invited to attend a workshop on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:30am at Village Hall. The purpose of the meeting if for downtown businesses to share their issues and aspirations for Downtown Winfield. Lunch will be served.

| Community Workshop - Sunday, December 16, 2007A Community Workshop is planned for January 10th from 6:30pm to 8pm to encourage participation by local residents, business persons, and property owners. The workshop will: (a) review the purpose of the Downtown Market and Capacity Study, the planning process to be undertaken, and the schedule for the study; and (b) secure local views on problems, issues and potentials within Downtown Winfield and the community.

| Project Begins - Friday, December 14, 2007Earlier this year, the Village Board authorized a contract to hire the Consultant Team lead by planning firm Houseal Lavigne Associates, LLC to assist the Village with preparing its Downtown Market and Capacity Study. The Plan is expected to take 10 months to complete. Several public participation exercises have been incorporated into the process to ensure the final product reflects the desires of our community.
