| Main Street Design Studio The planning process for the Downtown Strategic Plan began this spring, and now we need your thoughts and ideas! The purpose of the plan is to create a vision for the future of the Downtown and to identify the steps to make this vision a reality. The purpose of the Main Street Design Studio is to gather dreams, design solutions, and investment ideas that could eventually become a part of the final strategic plan. | March 2008The planning process continues with the appointment of the Downtown Advisory Committee (DAC), the preparation of an existing photo inventory and inventory, and the coordination of the planning process schedule.

| April 2008A short merchant survey will be available in multiple local retailers the week of April 14 to 18, 2008. Please visit your favorite merchants – and visit any of the new Downtown establishments – to see if they are participating in the merchant survey. Please note that – for a variety of reasons – not all merchants will be able to participate in the survey. If any of the merchants you visit do not have a short merchant survey available, please click here to provide general comments about your favorite merchants and the new merchants you visit, how frequently you visit each merchant, the zip code in which you live, and the zip code in which you work (if applicable).

| May 2008A Town Hall Meeting for the general public – including a presentation of data collected an analyzed to-date, a preliminary overview of the market analysis, a visioning session, and a design charette (a drawing-based brainstorming session) – will be held in mid-May.
